I'm Helena and I'm madly in love with storytelling.

I grew up in a family of photographers, working as my mom's assistant on shoots, editing photos after school, and packaging custom albums and products. But it wasn't until I was 20 when I realized how much I loved creative visual storytelling - from behind the lens! I followed my heart and said a sweet farewell to my life as a New York City actress and bought my first camera. For the past 3 years, I have been running this destination photography studio, uniquely specializing in modern classic family, children and newborn portraiture. In my first year of business, I worked as a hospital newborn photographer and fell in love with newborns and those first precious weeks of life, while continuing to photograph families in New York, Connecticut, Washington D.C., Virginia, and across Europe.

I am currently living around the world, photographing families with my travel-based photography business while documenting my global adventures online and encouraging readers to always follow their hearts. Most days you can find me editing images for my sweet clients or scribbling down blog ideas in a notebook with a foster cat in my lap. Other days I'm exploring a lesser-known village in Europe with a camera strapped on my shoulder and wearing some bold vintage-inspired lipstick. I’m a huge dreamer, an adventurer and mega-homebody (Netflix documentaries, everyday please!)), a girl who always has her camera bags packed, and a wife to my wonderful husband, Alex.

Whether I'm photographing families in the rural countryside of France, the mountains in Switzerland or in the bustling city of New York, I strive to pursue honest storytelling in my work. Being a children's and family photographer, my photography style is bright, clean and modern classic, while infusing my love for simplicity and the natural elements. I’ll do just about anything to make you and your little ones laugh, and I keep it light, focusing on those precious candid moments that naturally occur between people. I give playful attention to living and infuse this energy in my portraits, while keeping my editing clean and polished.

My goal is to create stunning, timeless works of art that will stand the test of time, and I personally value quality and attention to detail in this experience, offering my clients exquisite handcrafted albums and matted prints to preserve each custom collection as art for your home.
