Proactive Tutor and Educator Specializing in Business and Conversational English

Once upon a trip of environmental research and inspirational experience in Maui, HI, I decided that the next logical step of my career’s progression, as an educator, is to earn my Master’s of Arts in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language (MATESOL) degree. And as of this January of 2018, I was accepted into the MATESOL program at the University of Southern California. I plan on working on a master’s in speech pathology upon completion of my MATESOL.

As both a student and educator, I am seeking to further implement a proactive passion of promoting intellectual curiosity while utilizing innovative creative techniques, rejuvenating the minds of students; resulting in their personal growth and development. I believe that all students can thrive in a learning environment that is stimulating, comforting, and appropriate to the student’s(s’) abilities.

My most up-to-date relevant experience is teaching English as a private tutor. I have been contracted via different language firms for teaching business English, as well as conversational English. I have taught children as well as adults, using both conversational and business curriculum; both in group learning as well as individualized one-on-one sessions. My experiential background has ranged from: hiring staff, marketing, managing staff, sales, volunteering, and participating in extracurricular activities.

My background in education has been predominately in Chicago and Hawaii, which has allowed me the opportunity to work, instruct and volunteer with a diverse group of people from various ethnicities, ages, and levels.

Teaching involves the ability to convey complex ideas to multiple intelligences in a logical, creative and succinct manner - a skill that I have been able to develop through education, travel, occupational experience and teaching. By using innovative creativity, I consistently develop and refine informative course materials and powerful teaching strategies. I am an excellent communicator and promote lifelong learning.
