    Jonathan B.

    Blackstone, MA

Holistic Nutrition, Exercise, and Lifestyle Coach

What if the root cause of your knee injury is the food you consume?

What if the reason you can't lose weight is related to emotional baggage from childhood?

Originally a mechanical engineer, a turning point in my life came when I injured my knee playing football. As I sought to get stronger and healthier, I explored teachings from the top "experts" in fitness, nutrition, and health, only to be dismayed at how few resources understood how the human body worked as a whole. Disappointed by the fields of personal training, physical therapy, dietitians, and more, I set out on a relentless and ongoing pursuit to learn how all of the systems in the body interrelate.

The result? I am now certified to uncover an individual's symptoms and health-related goals, leave no stone unturned to discover the root causes, and to work 1-on-1 to implement personalized changes in nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle at the right pace to maximize long-lasting results.

My goal for each client is to explore with their chronic health-related issues and goals; identify root causes in ways others cannot; and illuminate their personal path to the health they desire.

Whether your goal is weight loss, muscle gain, or to finally free yourself from a chronic condition such as diabetes, IBS, or eczema, I can help with all of them!

I am certified through the CHEK Institute as a Level 2 Holistic Lifestyle Coach and with a Level 1 certification in Integrated Movement Science. My knowledge and skillset is growing rapidly as I pursue wisdom and certifications with the world's top integrative health resources.

    FAQ’s

How did I get started doing this type of work?

A knee injury shortly after college forced me to learn for myself how to work out, how to eat, and how to be healthy. The more I learned, the more fuel I added to the fire of curiosity burning in my mind. A mechanical engineer with experience working in the medical device industry, I decided to switch my focus to coaching people with chronic health problems so that they don't have to devote years of research like I did.

    Who are my typical clients?

My typical client has a chronic health condition or goal that they have been unable to solve or achieve. They may have been diagnosed with Type II Diabetes, SIBO, or heartburn, or just can't seem to lose weight or gain muscle. They are frustrated because nothing seems to be working - and they have tried "everything"!

What makes my work and approach unique?

My approach may seem "weird". It may have seemingly nothing to do with the symptoms my clients have! This is because I focus on digging to find the ROOT of the problem they are facing, which is oftentimes different depending on the client's unique history. So yes, I can give guidance on what foods you should eat, or design a workout program. But for permanent success, we need to address the root cause of the issue, which may be physical, nutritional , or even emotional. Once we work together to uncover the root cause or causes, we can strategically put a systematic action plan in place to get the results you desire.

What value do my services bring to clients?

My goal is to never have repeat clients. Rather than telling clients to "eat this", or "just start exercising", I teach them the HOW and WHY their health situation came to be. As we work together to achieve their goals or dreams, I am teaching them how to eat, sleep, play, move, and handle their emotions in ways that support the live they want. I aim for temporary clients, but permanent success.

What clients need to understand before hiring you?

In order to have success, a client must have sufficient clarity on what their goal or dream is, and then be committed to getting there. Depending on the client, the path to success may seem "weird", but if the standard approach was effective, they wouldn't be coming to me!

What is my philosophy and preferences in working with clients?

My general philosophy is to meet clients where they are at. Not every client can go from drinking 6 cans of soda to 8 glasses of water per day (or even is willing to!). Every invitation, suggestion, or action item I give is 100% custom to that client's current health, future goals, and openness and willingness for change. All I ask is for a client to show up!

Additional information about pricing (e.g. payment terms, discounts, etc...)

Pricing may vary depending on the level of coaching or planning requested by the client.

What are my certifications and trainings?

I am a certified Level 2 Holistic Lifestyle coach through the CHEK Institute, as well as holding a certification in Level 1 Integrated Movement Science. I am also in the midst of an intensive Holistic Coaching certification program through Jator Pierre, one of the top holistic coaches in the world. Plus more training and certifications in the pipeline!

Tips or tricks for working with providers like myself:

My coaching and my approach is not for everyone. Some individuals simply aren't ready to make changes in their life to get out of their comfortable (yet paradoxically painful) circumstances - and that's ok! But if my approach appeals to you; if you feel drawn to me or the words I am sharing here and you don't know why, I would invite you to reach out! There is probably a reason you feel this pull.
