Using patient-centered care, and individualized nutrition with an emphasis on whole foods, I understand that the role of Registered Dietitian is one important aspect in the complex multitude of what constitutes healthy living.
Sustainable, individualized nutrition! -Evaluating patients’ nutritional status and needs for high-risk individuals in both inpatient and outpatient medical settings; developing optimal plans of care and evaluating outcomes to identify areas for modification. -Determining the nutritional-based risk of patients and intervening accordingly based on established criteria. -Educating patients on appropriate nutritional objectives, increasing nutritional adequacy through diet, access to nutrient dense foods, cooking preparations, and overall wellness. -Motivational interviewing and behavioral counseling using stages of change theories.
