I was inspired to become a coach by my former business coach. Working with him showed me how impactful it can be to have an outside perspective you trust to ask hard questions. I credit his coaching and guidance for much of my success in recent years.
My typical clients include small to medium-sized businesses; startups; and entrepreneurs. I've also worked with with individuals who don't know what they should do with themselves personally/professionally or are struggling to get or stay motivated.
In most of my work I bring personal experience to the table. Having been in similar situations or advised on them, I am able to help my clients look at all sides of the problem to understand the root of the issue. I am then able to use my empathetic yet analytical approach to help clients develop and weigh a list of actions.
I strive to end each and every engagement with clear action items that my clients can work with. I've dealt with confusing and vague coaches and consultants myself and know how frustrating it is to be left wondering what to do next.
In order for our work to be successful you need to be completely motivated to act to solve the problem you're facing. As a coach it is my job to provide perspective and guidance. The only way to truly solve your problem completely is to do the work yourself. If I sense that you are not committed 100%, I will discuss it with you and may opt to end our engagement.
I value honesty and integrity and will communicate as clearly and succinctly as possible. While I don't believe in sugar-coating the truth, I endeavor to be considerate and empathetic. I expect openness, honesty, and integrity from those I work with.
Be prepared. If we agree that you will have something done before our next session, make sure it gets done. Not completing items or tasks only hurts your progress and outcome.
I have a library of guides and worksheets that can be used in the right situations. I also have access to online whiteboard tools, process diagramming software, and a variety of tracking/accountability methods.
